Our thanks to Fr Jason St John Nicolle for organising and running the Chapter Quiet Day, held on Saturday, 28th October at St Mary's Church, Kidlington.

The Oxford Chapter of the Guild of Servants of the Sanctuary (GSS), a catholic society for altar servers within the Church of England. At the Annual General Meeting of the chapter held on 13th March 2013, a decision was taken to close the chapter. There will be no futher meetings. Many thanks to all who have supported the chapter over the years.

Objects of the GSS
- 1. To raise the spiritual tone of altar servers.
- 2. To promote a conscientious performance of the duties of altar servers.
- 3. To encourage more frequent attendance at the Holy Eucharist in addition to times of duty.
