On Tuesday evening, we met in St Alban’s Church, Cowley to sing the Guild Office and celebrate Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Our thanks to Fr Adam Romanis, who kindly welcomed us to St Alban’s and led our worship and to Prof David Murray for playing the organ.
St Alban’s is a beautiful church, ideally suited to ceremonial worship and it was truly inspiring to chant the office in Epiphanytide before the Crib. The church is noted for its Stations of the Cross by Eric Gill and the mural behind the high altar depicting the Resurrected Christ and St Alban.
