Treasurer's Report 2011
In 2010, there was little activity with the chapter’s finances, which are still healthy – income was £88.35 (£24.37 down on that for 2009). This is because we had less in collections. Expenditure was £25.00 (£139.48 down on that for 2009). This was due principally to there being no Secretary’s expenses to show. The deposit account remains untouched and is accumulating interest – the balance on it is currently £1,151.54. This leads to our total assets for the end of 2010 being £1,395.83.
Secretary's Report 2011
At the beginning of the year, the chapter roll stood at 26 comprising 16 members, nine life members and one associate member. During the course of the year we have gained a priest associate, Revd Canon Paul Berrett, who has been transferred to us from another chapter and lost one life member, Bro Bill Quinell, who sadly passed away on 5th March. The chapter roll therefore remains at 26 all told.
William Quinell
I regret to have to report that Bill Quinell one of our longest serving members has died. He passed peacefully away at the Churchill Hospital on March 5th after several years' battle with prostate cancer.
Bill was for many years a leading member of the serving team at St Barnabas and frequently acted as chapter MC. Following the death of his dear wife Eileen, he served less often and played less of a role in the running of the chapter but remained a Life Member.
Bill's funeral is to be held at Oxford Crematorium on Friday, 18th March at 1:15am. Our thoughts and prayers are extended to his family at this sad time.
Jesus mercy: Mary pray.
