The chapter celebrated the eve of the feast of St Michael & All Angels with sung Guild Office and sermon in the Church of St Mary the Virgin, Kidlington. Revd Canon Anthony Ellis officiated and preached. In his sermon Fr Anthony referred to the numerous mentions of angels in Holy Scripture. Visitations by angels in our own time appear to be much rarer; however, perhaps this is because we fail to recognise them. Angels are messengers of God and people we meet in our own daily life speak to us in the kindness of their deeds and the witness they bear.
Afterwards those present enjoyed refreshments together.
